The Hudson Cafe, North Campus

The Hudson Cafe Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

With new cafes opening up everyday in North Campus, this cafe has been able to maintain its standards in terms of quality and quantity. This cafe is always full, thank god I managed to get a table.

A colorful and happy place, full of DU students is light on the pocket and filling on the tummy. The interiors are of a casual fine dine. With green and blue walls and comfortable chairs, this place has cool posters and graphics on the walls.

They have a mini bar with a small bakery. They had quite a variety of desserts and I tried most of the.

We ordered-
Lemon chicken- Tender pieces of chicken, they were really tasty and tangy.
Chicken Dim sums- Wheat dim sums with a juicy chicken filling. However, the outer shell of the dim sum was a bit thick and they should improvise the complimentary dip.
Grilled chicken salad- Juicy pieces of chicken in lots of lettuce and olives with a lemon vinaigrette dressing.  If you’re a salad lover, you’ll love it.
Penne Alfredo- Sauteed mushrooms & thyme in well cooked pasta, it was verryyyyy creamy and cheesy just the way I love.
Penne Arrabiata- It had lots of spicy tomato sauce, this flavor suits the Indian palate very well. If you like spicy food and a bit Indianized pizza, do order it.
Chicken Lasagna- It was bland! They should really improve the recipe.
Pao Bhaaji- The paao bread was not at all soft. The curry tasted just average and lacked the butter on it.
Chicken Pizza- Thin crust pizza lots of cheese on it, the chicken was spiced beautifully.
Grilled chicken breast- The piece of chicken was a bit chewy.
For drinks I ordered –
Hazelnut Frappe- Amazing cold coffee, a bit strong and had a rich taste of hazelnut.
Kiwi Cooler- Freezing cold mocktail, had a fine taste of kiwi.
Virgin Mojito- It was a bit sweet, however on complaining they made me a new one which was great.
Virgin Sangria- Fresh fruits blended beautifully, the mocktail was amazing.
Peach Mocitini- The best of the lot, was very refreshing and for a peach lover like me it was heaven!
Coming to my fav course of the meal, DESSERTS-
Banoffee Pie- I loved it, even though I’m not a banana fan I loved the presentation how they beautifully threw caramel sauce on the lovely pie. RECOMMENDED!
Red Velvet- Very tasty.
Belgian Waffles- I loved how beautifully they were dipped in chocolates. They gave us two tiny jars, one of honey and the other of maple syrup.  After pouring lots of maple syrup on it, the first bite of it made me fall in love with it. RECOMMENDED.
The service is quick and the staff is very co-operative. Its a pocket friendly cafe perfect for people with less money and big tummy!
