No Vacancy!

Currently at the top of the heap , The No Vacancy Cafe in Hudson Lane opened its doors last week and there has been no looking back ever since . A master of it’s trade , it has given the north campus a new hangout place with everything under one roof .

The menu has been carefully contrived and the place has been spread across four floors , each one having its own feel . The interiors have been done in such a way that you get the vibe of a good lounge without burning a hole in our pockets .

Starting with the watermelon and rocket salad , we had made up our minds that we are in for some incredible fantastic food . Covered in Maple Gari dressing were watermelon , rockets , iceberg and feta ; giving the salad an amazing flavor .

The Dirty fries were prepared in the country style , topped with soft grill chicken mince , cheese sauce and bbq sauce . The fries loaded with cheese called for another round but there were other items on the list that called for a serving . For the vegetarian counterpart we ordered the cheesy – loaded nachos . A load of crispy nachos topped with refried beans , tomato salsa ,pineapple salsa , sour cream , chipotle sauce and loads and loads of molten cheese . A perfect combination of crispy and creamy .

The spicy Wok Mushrooms were neither too sweet nor too spicy , but just the right taste tossed in hot wok sauce . Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside . The kit-kat shakes and the strawberry smoothie are just the right kind of summer coolers to have along with .

Then it was time for the NO-VACANCY Signature dish . A soft lamb patty infused with and drizzle of Jack Daniel’s , with JD glaze smothered over it ; topped with caramelized onions , lettuce and yellow cheddar ; molten and flowing down the rich centre . The No Vacancy JD Lamb burger SHOULD be on your ‘must haves’ list .

As they say that the best should be left for the end . Deserts complete a meal , honestly for us , the desert should’ve been the meal . A big , round chocolate dome , held within it a complete forest of flavors . A centre filled with raspberry centered dark chocolate , the outside of it was chocolate soil . With hot vanilla being poured over it . the dome melted , giving us a glimpse of a centre , so beautiful and rich , a treat for the eyes . But without thinking further , we just swooped down .

The chef , the staff and the ambience ; all of it has played a part in the success of this new place that is surely going to be the new hub in town . Giving you an ultimate dining experience without the worry of doing the calc . So you know where to dine next ……
